THE LEISURE STUDIES

Max Langbourne | James Leader

Drawing on traditions of British dandyism, modernist painting and the cultivated amateur.
The exhibition considers what happens when professional ambition is exchanged for aesthetic pursuit. Through gestures that oscillate between Twombly's poetic abstraction and Bacon's psychological intensity, the artists propose leisure not as inactivity, but as a serious discipline in itself.
