Holey Mountain, Make Me Home. August 2026
‘Holy Mountain, make me home’ marks Harry Bayston’s first solo exhibition post cancer and a return to Sydney after five years. The exhibition explores these journeys, both medical and physical, through the use of horses as stand-ins for self-portraiture. Holy Mountain is both place and person, with painting becoming a tool to finding ones self after being broken down.
Across printmaking, painting and installation, Marden investigates the body’s encounter with constructed space. Her work presents architecture not as a passive setting, but as a force that directs gesture and movement. Through moments of tension between physical freedom and structural constraint, she reveals the subtle adjustments through which people occupy, navigate and understand their surroundings.

Leisure Studies examines the romantic notion of the artist as a figure liberated from conventional labour. Drawing on traditions of British dandyism, modernist painting and the cultivated amateur, the exhibition considers what happens when professional ambition is exchanged for aesthetic pursuit.

Across painting, sculpture and mixed material works, the exhibition brings together artists whose practices differ in style, scale and approach, yet remain connected through an attention to surface, texture and emotional residue. Thick paints sits besides minimal compositions, figuative works alongside abstraction, creating a visual push and pull throughout the space.
