Alice Marden
30th July - 9th August
2026
Alice Marden (b. 2005) lives and works on Gadigal Land, Sydney, Australia. She has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the National Art School, Darlinghurst, majoring in Printmedia (2025), and is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) expected in 2026.
Across printmaking, painting and installation, Marden investigates the body’s encounter with constructed space. Her work presents architecture not as a passive setting, but as a force that directs gesture and movement. Through moments of tension between physical freedom and structural constraint, she reveals the subtle adjustments through which people occupy, navigate and understand their surroundings.
Marden’s work has appeared in group exhibitions including Printmakers Show at Tiliqua Tiliqua Gallery, Enmore (2024); Bird in Hand at Leichhardt Gallery (2024); and The Divide at Alpha House Gallery (2025). Her private commissions include landscape paintings for collectors in Jasper’s Brush and Vaucluse (2025), as well as a restaurant mural for The Velvet Grove (2023). She has also participated in collaborative projects, including the 20 × 20 cm Exchange Portfolio in Sydney.
